eLearning News—Delivered to Your Inbox
You don't have time to search for and keep track of national news, research or activities on eLearning—ITC will keep you informed! Be the first on your campus to learn about articles on eLearning in the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, the New York Times, the blogosphere, and other news sources. Receive links to the latest eLearning research from the National Center for Educational Statistics, other agencies at the Department of Education, the Sloan Foundation, and other sources. ITC archives these past news updates on its website for ITC members only.
ITC will e-mail you about the latest news on national legislation that could affect your eLearning program. In 2015 ITC followed the statewide authorization for out-of-state distance education students, the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, funding for broadband connections, net neutrality, copyright issues, accreditation, student financial aid funding, and other hot topics. An advocate for distance learning with the American Association of Community Colleges, ITC informs legislators about the concerns of distance educators.
ITC will e-mail you about upcoming grant opportunities—while you still have time to apply—as soon as the guidelines are released to the public, so you can build or expand your distance learning program.
Reduce expenses—this is the best bargain in town! For these twice monthly presentations, ITC invites distance learning administrators and faculty to share their best practices, tips and challenges for teaching at a distance. We invite authors to share their latest distance learning research; copyright gurus and government officials to explain what you need to do; accreditation experts and grant administrators to inform you about timely, hot topics. There is no cost for ITC members, however, they are $100 for non-members. See the calendar of upcoming workshops to register online.
The friendliest annual conference for eLearning practitioners. The eLearning Conference will offer eLearning administrators, eLearning faculty, instructional designers, online media specialists and web course developers a packed schedule that includes: pre-conference workshops, keynote speakers, vendors exhibiting the latest eLearning technologies and services, and nearly 60 one-hour concurrent sessions.
Twenty distance educators will work with Academy faculty at ITC's Distance Education Leadership Academy to create a sound leadership strategy, develop a model to fit their institution, identify and acquire key tools for successful distance learning leadership, and obtain a new network of fellow eLearning practitioners.
ITC has created a searchable library or database of distance learning articles, abstracts, and research which are on the ITC website. Many resources are available to anyone who visits the ITC website, but ITC members should enter their login and password codes since their searches will result in additional articles, research, and information on distance education topics that were included in the ITC news e-mails.
